Born with the ability to draw and create I took for granted how important this gift would be to me on my journey and development in life.
Without the ability to laugh and create, I would have given up on life a long time ago. Having had over 15 years’ experience working with individuals with mental health issues, and dealing with a few myself, I have found that creativity creates inspiration.
I have had various jobs in the past, from a janitor to a bus driver and have supported individuals suffering from mental health issues - so quite varied!
In 1996 I was propelled into a world inside my imagination, and into the messed up, sub-conscious mind I swam. My creative light flickered and remained my ‘life support’ for the next four years of soul searching. During this time I attained a City and Guilds Distinction in Interior Design.
In 2001 I found myself homeless, living in the cellar of a pub/guest house, earning my keep by decorating, stage design and bar work.
I was absorbed into another world as I became a landlady (!) and from there I helped a friend run his entertainment bars until 2004. I then decided I wanted to pursue my passion for producing ‘art’ in whatever form.
